My name is Karyn and I am a secondary school teacher at a comprehensive boys school in Western Sydney. I have been teaching at the same school since 2005 and I am always looking to learn which is what has brought me to this course about AI!

Given I am a TAS teacher (computer studies), it is definitely possible that I will need to teach AI sometime in the future, so I see a lot of value in learning about this topic and also connecting with others so that we can share our learning journey and our ideas.

When I think about AI, the first thing that springs to my mind is Deep Blue (the first  computer system to beat a man – Garry Kasparov – playing chess) – see image.
