Option 1

As a primary school teacher it is always important to hook in the learner with real life situations that the students can relate to.

I think that the Area of AI vision would be a fun area to unpack as the students are interested in Autonomous vehicles, familiar with car parks recognising number plates, have experience of social media tagging and would be  keen to learn more about apps that offer visually impaired people more support.

Students frequently are asked to interact with the “I am not a robot” verification and although annoying at times they understand that this is part of the visual learning of AI.

I would link students prior knowledge of recognising Data to introduce a labelling activity similar to the Kangaroo/Wombat task.

In small groups I would like students to choose and sort their own data and label accordingly.  They could then record the results in a table or with support create their own.
