In recently undertaking a language course, a chatbot was used for the students to interact with the virtual tutors. The chatbot asked questions (audio) and students could practice typing responses. Similar to Siri and Google, the chatbot idea could be used to consolidate learning of important theory or alongside digital books to supplement comprehension questions with more open ended conversation.
